I know of several Civic's personally that will in aesthetics and performance will stomp the ever-loving SHIT out of 75% of the cars on this forum.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, most of our cars are from the 80's. If we want to make that comparison we should compare the cars on this board to hondas from the 80's...if there are any still on the road. I'm not hating on hondas, my first car was a 1983 accord hatch. Ran like a champ until I sold it to my gf and she blew up the engine. The car was ugly though, no amount of aesthetic improvements could make the thing look any better.

I hated Hondas for a long time.....then I grew up and turned 19-20 and saw that just like we have idiots, they do, and just like we have tasteful modders, they do too. I respect the aspects of why they like their cars. Lets face it, what do you get for a BMW for 4K? What do you get for 4K with a Jap car? Plus they weigh a ton less. ALthough Id like to see their interior in 10 years. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. The pros/cons of the E30 seem to suit me. Its never good to make statements in an "Absolute" fashion. There are no absolutes when it some to groups of people and their tastes. I can sit down and have a good conversation with a Jap enthusiast, or a Muscle Car enthusiast too. As long as we respect eachother. Not to mention i LOVE, LOVE muscle cars. All this ignorant elitist bullshit is stupid, no matter what side of the fence its coming from, IMO.

It really does seem the asswipe on cut springs, blown stock shocks, stock spraypainted-in-place hubcaps and a screw-op fartpipe generally has or wants a Honda....

I think the best explanation of cars I ever heard was from a guy who did concourse quality restorations on pretty much any type of car. He said that every company makes a few good cars and the rest are shit. And really that's how it is. Some are good, some are bad. Doesn't matter what company they are (unless they're a Yugo).

He got cut off and he lost control to avoid the accident, crashed it. He's got a 2nd-gen GSR now and its sick. And I love third gear VTEC.

I've handed out probably 30 or 40 flyers, I usually throw them on windshields and all that, there's a ton of them around this area over in tacoma and around gig harbor. Showing from how many people are actually here that used to not be, I doubt the flyer's helped.
