      Damn some of you guys are so oldskool.

        Torrents for music? Am I wrong in thinking that limewire/ect is easier?

        I mean a season of ER or LOST - torrents are the way to go(3-10gigs) - but a 3meg audio file? I never can seem to find the song - just the entire CD/album ...

          I'm telling you, for just a few songs, Ares is the best. Torrents are good for whole movies, albums and software.

            Yeah, sites like OiNK (just Google OiNK) are great because the torrents are entire albums, and each album is available in a variety of qualities depending upon how much of a quality snob you are. You never have to worry about fake files, mis-tagged MP3's, you can get stuff in FLAC lossless encoding (if you want), the list of pros goes on forever.

              Ever since you mentioned it, I started not using it but it seems it's not making my internet slow down.... so I removed it. As the title states, I just want to know what's the best as far as music goes, variety, ease of use/downloadability. If that's a word..

              On a side note, got a letter from Time Warner stating we are all getting a free upgrde from cable to FIOS soon. Sweet. If I'm not mistaken 5Mbps is the slowest that shi'ite gets, right? Unless they are going to somehow limit what comes through...

                Frostwire or Cabos. Both are Gnutella clients without the bullshit.

                  All p2p and torrents are junk

                  newsgroups is the fastest download, and the best, and you can get ssl encryption with any decent provider

                  ssl = encrypted and untrackable
