didnt joe funk lose his lugnuts on the way to the picnic?

He drove to my house 45+ miles going 80 on twistie hilly roads. He comes over and said he thinks the cars fucked up, then I put the lug wrench on his bolt and find they are hand tight lol.

To his defense it was a new e30 and he didn't check the lugs before he brought it over.

Anyways, I could totally see myself doing that, I am super forgetful like that. Thats why I always leave notes on my steering wheel when I am taking stuff apart on my car to remind me to put everything back lol.

A freind of mine had this happen to him recently. He was in his S4 at Summit Point which has a long front straight. Now keep in mind this guy is pretty sharp and very particular and knowlegable about his cars. The left front wheel was untourqed and at over 100mph he felt a shimmy in the front of his car. He immiatley tried to slow down but when he hit the brakes the wheel let loose. Trashed the fender, then the car came down on his super nice Porshce Caliper/rotor.
It was a mistake. he just missed that one wheel some thing he always checks but somehow got distracted. He spun out and came toa stop unhurt but it was a scary ride.
Anyway the guy in the RX must have looked like a total Ass Hat. I know my freind did.
