In Dubai they are proposing to build this highrise condo with sections that rotate and swivel around a stationary base. Supposedly each section will hold 4 to 5 floors and it will move so slowly that it will be next to impossible to detect the movement other than the fact that the scenery out of your windows will change as the day goes on.Comment

This is a view from the rotating restaurant here in Santiago, it turns one rev in about 1 and a half hours, it's neat because you get a whole view of the city in one lunch, and you can't really tell it's rotating except for the fact that the view is not the same every time you look. It's on the 16th floor of a boulding, and the food is not that good.

Add the Space Needle to the list of revolving restraunts. Food's OK, better when you have the coupon for Sunday brunch - then it's a hard deal to beat.
I like the looks of the view from that one in Santiago, Chile is on my short list of countries to visit / possibly retire in. I plan to live out my later years in Central / South America. Bermuda is really the only other contender to me.
