Back in 81 or 82 they had a major sinkhole problem in Florida. The local public utility discovered that there was what appeared to be a seemingly endless supply of ground water that they used as the source for one of their water treatment and distribuion plants. After a few years they discovered where all of this water was comming from and houses were falling into the ground all over the area. (not sure what part of FLA)
