Wow, he appears to be pretty alert and aware of his surroundings for a 4-month-old. He will be under the car with you by the time he becomes a toddler.

But that's the rights of passage that gives you the authority to boss your kids around, make them wait on you hand and foot, and more importantly, the right to beat their ass when they get out of line. When you have to tell your kid, "Shut up.. because I SAID SO" all of that crying and foul smelling diapers is what gives you the fortitude to stand by the authority that you have as a parent.

When you hear someone say, "I CHANGED YOUR DIAPERS! YOU OWE ME AT LEAST THAT MUCH RESPECT" you too will know what its worth.

I won't try to sound too sappy here, but you would never think you could love someone as much as your own child. The crying and diapers are just part of the deal, but having your own child is magic. All the good stuff far outweighs the sleepless nights and stinky diapers.
And I am pretty sure he is already a better mechanic than me....

here he is 2 days old. he is about twice as heavy and about 50% longer than when he was born. he was very fuzzy.
