yes i am (former), and i missed Desert Storm but made it to Somalia. i dont want to get into a big debate, i just hated the movie because of how i feel it mis-represented the USMC, the author/writer of the movie in all fairness tried to portray HIS take on it. thats all well and good, but in reality that is not how Marines conduct themselves in that kind of situation.
