30 Seconds To Mars first album was fucking AMAZING. Granted, their new album might be a little emo-ish, but they're still a great band.

I agree 100%, those bands are nothing near the talent of 30STM


the first album was almost entirely done by Jared Leto himself (not a well known fact) the guitarist and bass listed on sites like wikipedia joined up later on. I think Jared Leto is extremely talented, his vocal range is insane.

Here's my deal. I consider myself to be an old-school punk/hardcore fan. Mid to late 90's/early 2000's was they heyday of punk and hardcore, those bands and fans were true to the scene, and I was one of them. Still am. You can call me an elitist, a snob, it doesn't matter.

What I hate are emo/scene kids. I DON'T hate a lot of the "emo/screamo/hardcore" bands that are out right now, I actually rather like a lot of it, especially the really hard stuff. What I hate are the the guys that are in these bands, and what I hate is that hardcore suddenly became a fashion statement and that there's a uniform for it. I hate black/blonde hair pulled in your face, I hate guys that wear girls jeans, I hate t-shirts made out of nylon material that are 10 sizes too small, and I hate wearing bandanas around your neck/head. When you get out of high school, you finally realize that it isn't what you wear that qualifies you to listen to that kind of music. All that matters is that you like it.

i saw tool at cox arena on halloween during the lateralus tour, so like 5-6 years ago. that was probably the best show evar as far as technical layout, and body paint.
