Rush has great music, but I CANNOT STAND the singers voice.

Fucking Trent, been to all these shows but won't crowd surf...lol.All I do is goto shows. Seen Statc-X 4 times. You name it I have probably seen them, Cradle of Filth (2), Messhugah (2), Sepultura (2), Metallica (3), System of a Down (4), Hatebreed (5), Throwndown, Andrew WK, Hed PE, Sevendust, White Zombie, Melvins, Cherry Poppin' Daddies (6), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Disturbed (4), Ozzy (3), Aerosmith, Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, Yellowcard, Hepcat (2), KMFDM (3), Slick Idiot, etc etc...etc etc etc...
As for Tool I saw them both times at the big gym at UCSD (called Remac Arena). It is a good venue, seen other concerts there. I don't like their new stuff. I was a huge fan of Opiate (my fav) and Undertow was decent too.
The Cult, even though I'm using a Rise Against qoute.
Rey
BTW-I don't anyone has mentioned Black Sabbath.Leave a comment:

All time favorite would have to be Ra, Rammstein or Nightwish. Really great stuff, especially with lots of bass. I do like almost every genre and band, however (of what I've heard, which is a considerable amount).
EDIT: Damnit. I forgot my all-time favorite, which surpasses everything else made EVAR: Rush.

oddly enough i spent part of sat night hanging out with BAM-BAM the drummer for JFA. i've known him for about 10+ years and hadn't seen him in about 4, caught up and talked about old times, ahhh to be a miscreant again, drunken destruction!!Leave a comment:

All-time favorite would probably have to be...
Tool. Seen them twice now, back in '01 on the Lateralus tour and last fall on the first 10k Days tour. Seeing them again in a couple weeks. Absolutely un-fucking-believable live show. Whether under the influence or not, its a mind blowing experience.
Band I can't get enough of right now would be The Appleseed Cast.Leave a comment:

Pink Floyd for all time favorite. I still have to stop whatever i am doing to listen to the guitar solo for Comfortably Numb. and all the way back to their old stuff with Syd Barret....i mean that shit was dope too! but i gotta say that the stones are absolutely nuts as well and i love listening to their stuff as well. Favorite new band... MUSE! every single song is amazing and the singer has the range of Thom Yorke from Radiohead but has such a more powerful and accurate delivery. I agree, they are that good live. I remember the group hug as well when I saw them 5 days before 9/11. They did the same last night...They really are a fantastic band and even more fantastic live. They are one of the few bands that I would rather see live than hear play on a CD. Last time I saw them was in support of Lateralus right after 9/11 so there was the air of unity. There was almost a hippy feel in the air when they closed the show in a group hug. I got lucky and had 11th row center seats so the show was amazing to say the least. Ugh... I miss being in the states. :(Leave a comment:

Yup, and I'm sorry to hear that you will miss it. Once again they reaffirmed that they are the best large venue band I have ever seen. The visuals on this tour were unreal, I was sober but I felt like I was stoned...
I snapped a couple of shots with my phone. They took a break at the one hour mark and the four of them just sat on the riser in front of the crowd and chilled. Maynard took a lighter out of his pocket and held the flame in the air. Everyone else in the arena followed.

and laser beamzzzzz!
