What's the best medicine against sunbirn itch!?

What is THE BEST course of actions to take to get rid of the sunburn itch ? It's driving me absolutely insane, I am ready to punch anything and everything in my view.

I just googled a bunch of pages, does Vinegar really work ? I got sunburned really bad on saturday, and it was barable last night but today it's worse, the itch is terrible. I tried Sour Cream, tried Aloe Vera cream, just bought Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Colloidal oatmeal to try...

fresh urine works if you are tight on money.

if you're not then get some lotion with cortisone in it. its a steroid so pump some iron while the effect lasts.

also if you drink your own urine it gives you the same boost as the steroid because you recycle the testosterone your body naturally produces. body builders call it "doubling up".

or rub your back on your rusted old exhaust.

"scratch" it with a harsh deodorant soap (like dial or safeguard) and a warm wet washcloth until the itching goes away. Make the washcloth very wet and very soapy so that you can keep scrubbing the itch without damaging your skin. The chemicals in the deodorant soap will temporaily numb the nerve endings that cause your skin to itch. Afterwards, rinse your arm throughly and then apply rubbing alcohol to the surface. Do not touch the affected area for the next 5 to 10 minutes giving time for the alcohol to set in.. If the itching persists, repeat the process only once. Afterwards try another remedy.

the tanic acid found in tea works well. Just take a bath in tea!

tomato soup bath, it works for when you get sprayed by skunks...I would assume it cures this too.

make sure to post what ended up working the best... I remember I once burnt my back and upon applying lotion to my back it started itching like (@#$%@#(*#$% crazy. I was losing my mind it was so bad. I suffered for a while before chewing down two tylenols I think. All I really remember though is that is sucked extremely bad. It wasn't a burn, it was an insane constant itch that would not stop.

Vinegar only works to take away the sting. Wont help the itch.

Look carefully at the Aloe cream you bought. Most are less than 10% Aloe.

Go to your local health food store. Buy a bar of Original "Kiss My Face" brand soap, shower, then use 100% pure aloe gel.

The Aloe is available at Trader Joes if you have a hard time finding it.

dont use the dial bar soap. get some johnsons baby wash, and use that with a very soft cloth and warm water. then when you get out, put on the vaseline. trust me, i had 2nd degree burns on my face, arms, and hands. after 2 weeks of that, nobody could tell what happened. imagine what it would do on just a sunburn. try it!

You need 100% real Aloe Vera. Go an buy an Aloe Vera plant, and when you get a sunburn, cut off one of the leaves and break it in half.

Or do it the easy way and just go buy a bottle.
