President Reagan had low approval ratings as well and look what he was able to do and how he is perceived today as one of the best in history and the one who ended the cold war and the communism of the USSR, so time will tell to those that are blind by todays liberal press. After all we as America would not be having a problem with radical islam if the left wing democratic party didnt cut all funds with CIA supported wars in the 80's against Russia in Afghanistan with UBL himself and his supporters. Best info content in whole thread - you nailed it earlier that political threads here are as worthless as a hardcore Dem, or nice breasts on a ugly girl.

For the record, I stand behind Bush - it's not like you can have a rogue President denying the entire legislative & judicial branches and waging wars just to satisfy his own ego. We are there for a reason, and most have let the Dems infect their minds with the horrible images of war. Duh, war is horrible - so was 9/11, but it's like everyone forgot 9/11 every time we hear another roadside bomb killed a few of our soldiers. I literally pray for the souls of our soldiers, and the families left behind - but I also know nearly 3000 innocent souls were lost on 9/11, and if you don't remember that you loose perspective, and the Dems bank on that.

I loose the infantesimal respect I have for the Dems every time they play the "war card". What are they going to say the day we have another event on our home soil - act surprised?

It will be a mistake the day we pull out of Iraq, no matter if that's in 6 months or 4 years. We will always need some presence, big or small, in the Middle East now that we are there - I'm no rocket surgeon, and I can see that. I hope the American people can understand that, and would be willing to see the longer term body count will be a lot bigger if we don't continue to work there. It will only take 1 well engineered Jihad to outweigh the 3000 soldiers killed so far, and it will be a total disrespect to the fallen & dead the day such an event occured. They gave their very life fighting to make sure a day like that wouldn't occur. It's like spitting on their headstone to pull out.
