Congrats on the build. Like sleeve said, the grip is hideous, but congrats regardless. You are making the best out of the shitty laws you are stuck with and I give props to that, and the fact that you build it yourself.

On a completely unrelated note, I just found out that SBRs are legal in MN. Already planning a build...

I fell in love with AK74's There are My favorite semi auto hands down If you dont have one I sugest getting one 5.45x39 Is a great round. When I get the sights dialed in Ill post a target I suspect it to be pretty accurate it was close with no adjustment I mainly was testing function at a friends.

AR's Are dead to me LOL JK.Id love to build a target AK. Theres a few out there. A 6.5 grendel milled ak would be sweet.

The grip doesnt affect it at all really. It still handles the same I mainly go to nevada for shooting
Im done here its not worth getting harrased about my guns at local range. The grip stays on only in CA. Most people think AKs are still evil here. Its worth the 2 hour drive.

Next on the list Is going to be a hungarian milled Type III build.I got a bulgarian rear stub and as hungarian front and a Type 3 russin barrel on the way.

You guys have no Idea how bad I wish I lived in a free state. I have a 3pin rear reciever half it sure would be awsome to get a spamp and re weld the reciever. But Im just going to have to fill it.

Anyone ever use herters or the WOlf steel casedf ammo?

I mean really used it, not just what your heard form the guy at the gun store.


I'm goin shooting this weekend and it is the only .45 ACP around here that isnt 28$ a box.


Ive put over 800 rnds of the Ultramax reman LRN and FMJ through my colt so i know it will feed the cheaper stuff.

Ive also put about 200 rounds of blazer through it.

I can get the Wolf at Dicks Sporting Goods for about 18 a box.

It should be fine... just not as accurate as others and it will require cleaning afterwords. The cases are not re-loadable. But just for plain blasting its ok.

well you still get a full grasp on it your thumb just cant wrap around it. If it was a functiong pistol grip I would have to have a mag lock. Id rather have this because honestly is doesnt afect how you hold the rifle that much at all.

Shot a friend's .40 M&P for the first time last week. Only shot a shotgun before... but damn is it hard to shoot a pistol accurately.
