Even though Remington is probably the most common rifle out there. In every thread i see i still see people talking about lemons being pretty common and people getting rifles that need lots of work to shoot well out of the box. which keeps me looking at other options even when they are more expensive

Ideally i think finding a lightly used rifle is going to be my best route. I would like to have some money left over for glass and a stock depending on the rifle i go with

Yeah there are several places that inlet for the Tikka's if you want a very adjustable and "tactical" stock check out the Whiskey 3 From KRG they are spendy but TOP NOTCH kit

        Haha that's great

How many of you actually leave them out like that?

Getting there! Just picked up a B5 SOPMOD and an H2 buffer. Eotech 553 is next and the magpuls will go back on my other rifle

By far my new favorite tool. It's absolutely amazing

My 1911 sits next to my bed. I never have a round in the chamber, but I do have a 10 round mag in the pistol all the time. I dont really believe I will ever need it, but whats the point of having a gun if you are not ready to use it if something were to happen? Oh and by the way, there are no kids in my house or others that would miss handle my pistol. When I do have company the 1911 goes in its lock box.

Yeah I have mine locked up 24/7 unless its on my person. My son gets his hands on far to many things as is. That's the last thing I ever need him to get ahold of

the AK is a flame thrower with its 3 foot muzzle flash, pistol and AK all in one

the stevens is an amazing shotgun that i got for an amazing price, brand new! I also added a mini quick disconnect bayonet to the front rail which turns the shotgun into an axe/slashing/stabbing weapon haha

guess i don't really need a pistol which is why i sold that highpoint piece of crap. But i guess once i get off my ass and go drop my conceal app off, ill pick up a sidearm and keep the ak as my trunk gun ;)

Word. I hear you on that one.
When I live in CA I live in a really nice neighborhood and keep the gun locked up. Plus I know my landlord has firearms and lives below me.
Up here in WA though, I live right next to Irondale which is filled with meth heads. Some one has kicked the HELLA lights off the front of my car, Iv had to call the cops on a guy who almost assaulted my alcoholic trailer trash neighbor at 8am, and constantly hear gun shots at night. I feel better with my .45 next to me at night lol.

Have the Stevens 320 also but with a cheese grater, fenix light with pressure switch and a pentax red dot, excellent zombie killer.

You know its really weird man. Port Townsend is REALLY nice, mostly retired old art people. Port Hadlock is not nice but is filled with decent friendly hardworking people. Irondale on the other hand, which is located between PT and PH is just a whole mess of nasty meth heads. I live on the border of PH and Irondale.
One of our teachers at the boat school bikes with the Sharif, who has admitted to him that they dont bust meth labs in Irondale because it costs the department to much money in toxic clean up. They like to bust weed grows because they are easy to clean and there are a lot of assets for the department to seize. If thats not backwards I dont know what is.

This is a really cool video on making your own Kydex holsters for knives, guns, holsets, mags and more. LOTS of info.

We've had a couple meth labs busted here too. Having dealt with HAZMAT at my last job I can see the sheriff's view, but I think they may be more concerned with the explosiveness of those things too. Not that that is an excuse not to bust them.

Fortunately where I live most folks are ex service or like my next door neighbor, retired deputy, so that crap doesn't fly in our immediate area.

Just the same, I'm sorry you have to live in the shadow of the crap.
