I am not a big fan of 380, but for repelling muggers or gay rapist's at hand shake distance its more than enough. Its not like I will be trying to repel a commie invasion with the thing, I would much rather carry one of my 45acp's but I live on the road and in and out of hotels all the time and this is just so much easier to deal with when it comes to traveling.....

whats the old saying, a hit with a 22 is much better than 8 misses with a 45 ;)

A mugger/BG isnt going to look at your gun and say, oh wait that's just a 380, i'm not scared.

True, no one wants to get shot by anything, but the undeniable fact is that 9mm will cause marginally more damage and penetration than a 380, even at close range. Add in heavy coats and large layers of fat I want something that will push through it. Here's my other motivation, I hate trying to track down 380 ammo, it's expensive and I already stock 9mm. I'm in a caliber consolidation mode currently.

I'm going to go put my hands on a few during lunch today and make a decision. Heavily leaning towards the CM9, but we'll see...

Or the Walther PPS. A friend had one of those and it concealed great.

With a nice pocket gun and lots of practice, I think I can become proficient with it. Also, knowing this is a gut buster gun and I wont be doing any 25yrd shots with it.

I carry in the 4 1/2 position with the gun tilted towards the front of my body. I'm still new at it, but to me I can see the gun pretty easy. Could just be me being over thinking it...oh well, I do get to get a new gun :D
I have a Galco KingTuk for my Glock 23, but I carry closer to 5. You're on the right track having it canted forward. Take a picture of you wearing it, you might be over thinking it like you said. For perfect concealment you'll want it on a flat side of your body.

plus I wear shirts that arent that baggy, XXL. As im losing weight, those are becoming baggy so maybe I can get to a point where I can conceal a g19 or something close

My shirts aren't overly baggy either. They aren't super tight either, but they fit. I have few issues with printing, but even with some printing it's not a huge deal. You have to understand that unless the print is super blatant nobody is going to notice it if they aren't looking for it/trained/a gun person.

Thanks, I'll read through it. Put my hands on a CM9 today, no one locally had a P290 for me to look at. Bummer.

Hahahahaha, I guess that might be so. My work attire doesn't allow for cargos or super baggy clothes, basically needs to conceal in a reasonably professional jean cut.

At least you can carry at work. My facility is controlled access with metal detectors on the way out. No weapons allowed. :(
