while you are prolly correct, 308 makes just as good a choice other than the cost of feeding it..... I would not mind doing a DMR course at some point, we have a few guys that run them and the more standard carbine courses, up this way in the summer time but alas I never seem to be home when one is going on.

Sound like operator error in both the build process of their guns. Many SBR's under 10' suppressed can be temperamental. Usually its corrected with a correct buffer weight. The barrel nut coming off sounds like a total fail in building as they are torqued and locked into place.

Yeah, I know the AR is a good platform when built and maintained properly. If 5.56 ever gets back below $.25 a round maybe I'll pick one up, but for now I'll stick to my steel case beater eater.

7.62x39 has always been cheaper than 5.56

Depends if he's looking at domestically produced brass cased 7.62x39, that stuff is pricey.

                    For example.

Not too difficult, I have a clean background I applied for my permits and went on with my life then suddenly bam they're ready to go, once you've got your permits you have to wait some more time once you're ready to purchase. That is just to own. Now carry is a completely different world -___-
