Nice collection!! That mauser looks pretty darn clean. Has it been re-stocked? How is the grouping with it?

Or when you want to annoy the wife. Mine hates the smell of most of the gun cleaners I use so I was planning on emptying the safe for a cleaning party while she's gone next week. The house is going to smell like balistol and shame all week.

I used to use hoppes but would get a fucking brain tumor when cleaning more than 1 gun. I usually use Balistol for quick cleanings and either MPRO7 or hoppes elite because they have virtually no odor. Militec is my lube of choice for most guns other than the AK which gets white lithium grease.

yeah the wife hates the smell of the Hoppe's.

I know Frog Lube was all the rage a few years ago, haven't heard much about it lately.

CLP break free, and Hoppes here. CLP works great but damn that stuff is nasty. Gonna try balistol when I run out of CLP.

I am still using Frog Lube. No issues for me but I do clean my guns regularly. Most of the reason I use it is because I still have a big ass tub of it lol

                  dont laugh..............

I use GM top engine clean, for the really caked on shit, and Proshot 1 step for almost everything else. Finished with a coat of 3 in 1 oil or something similar. Wood furniture gets a coating of lemon pledge, or orange oil, what ever is the most handy....

Top engine clean is nasty shit to get on you too but it seems to work better than hoppes and with out migraine after, from just getting a whiff or 2 of it.

Yeah on the trigger contact surfaces.

Frog lube blows if you go awhile without shooting the gun. It's like it oxides and turns gummy, also if it's cold it hardens up and the gun possibly wont function.

Yes, light coat on the charging handle, bolt cam, and an oil mix on lugs.

Finally found a place that has the sig romeo1 in 6moa dot in stock( been looking for several months now). Order placed with free 2 day shipping cant wait.

On a side note: I am 3 weeks out after prk surgery and a little disappointed so far. Played golf yesterday and could not track a ball past 100yrds. I know it takes time to heal but am growing impatient. Hopefully it will pay off in the end but at the moment I would have opted for lasik if I could do it over.

it takes time, and the good news is, you are still eligible for other work down the road if it doesn't get perfect. 6 weeks is about when things really settled in right for me
