I think they should have left it as a hatch, and made a more agressive kit over the existing 130i one.

It will be optional I'm sure. I can't see it coming standard in the 1er, when its not in the 3er.

If the coupe is 2900#, then a stripped one will probably go down to 2600# for track use, plus 100# for a cage. Not too bad for a car from the 20th century. Now let's remove all the rubber bushings and replace them with some stiffer material to improve feedback.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I think you can get it in 3-door or the coupe

Yeah, I dig the hatchback alot more than the coupe because of how the side of the car flushes out, the curves from the hatchback balance it out alot.

                I love the 1er. It's like a modern day E30 to me.

I gotta say this coupe looks better than the 1 series HB. Evo tested the 1 series hatch (265ish hp version) to 3 other cars, S3 beat it in almost every category though. I bet this will be in the high 30s to low 40s pricewise. HB's don't sell well here, maybe that was the reason to release a coupe instead ?

Ya I like the look of the Audi better. More proportional.

I'll have one. Just put a call in to my dealer. We'll see if it's too early to put a deposit down.
