Or it could be privately owned by a millionaire who established a corporation for the purpose of renting out the helicopter. I have seen many situations where people who own private jets will rent them out to corporate executives who fly infrequently enough to justify the expense of the plane sitting in the hanger. There was this guy on the discovery channel who would go on vacation 8 times a year and lease out the plane during every trip.

For instance he would fly from his home in NY out to cancun. And while he spent 2 weeks on the beach, he would make money from the plane making daily trips back to the US to take other high-class travelers back and forth. When they landed on Sunday, the plane would turn around and take someone home that evening and bring someone else out there Monday morning. And by the time this guy was ready to go home, the plane had already made a dozen or so trips earning the guy enough cash to pay for his trip AND expenses with plently left over.

yeah, i work in alot of wealthy peoples houses, most of them are assholes. There are some that are super nice, and yes most are some of the cheapest motherfuckers.
