    cheap video editing software recommendations?

    cheap and easy to use. i just need it for editing home movies of the baby.

    microsoft has one for free. if not Pinnacle is decent.

        Window Movie Maker comes with XP. It's a good basic program and very easy to use. Adobe Premiere 2.0 (not the earlier versions) is walk on water video editing. It's free because everybody downloads it from torrent sites. It costs $600 but no one "buys" it.

            i've already got windows movie maker on my computer!
            it's a wonder i can figure out how to use the intraweb.

                  Windows Movie Maker is actually better than some of the cheap programs that I bought in the store. If you want to edit from an analog camcorder, dazzle has a kit for about $40 where you can plug your video camera into the computer via the USB capture card.
