I agree. These were pretty good.. when I worked in IT I only encountered attacks like that when I came back from lunch and the network had been down for over an hour. They tend to cut you a little bit of slack if you are there working on it at the time it goes down.. but don't get caught out of the office for more than a couple of hours and the network has been down the whole time. By the time you get back in there, they will have the snipers trained on you.

Meh. We rarely catch shit unless something has been broken for a LONG time, like days. And even then its polite shit at that. People know that its a good idea to be on the IT guy's good side.

Really nice, hot, bolivian chick: Yeah, her shit gets catered to.

Annoying guy in aerospace: Fuck that guy and his cheap keyboards.
        Im now E30less.

That's true. I would give higher priority to the people who were more humble about the fact that they screwed up their PC. Like if a guy got his computer infected with spyware and he came to me and said, "Hey, man.. I was looking at some NWS sites and I knew I shouldn't have installed PornViewer 3.0 but I got a client coming in later and I need for my computer to work. Can you help me?" and within the hour he was up and running again. But if some jerk from management called me up screaming about not being able to get his 500MB file on a 256K memory stick, then I made sure that he was my last call of the day.

Shit, here at the school district if the network is down for more than about 2 minutes I get about 15 phone calls and a few angry emails. "IS THE NETWORK DOWN?!?!!"

no your fucking internet just magically doesn't work and we're over here playing halo on the projector

No one likes us here, no one respecsts us here, which is funny cause we keep everything fucking working.

Time to go have a smoke.

Funny stuff. Since I'm a Network Admin for a company that has about 50 branch sites coming back to one location for email, etc.... When the main VPN concentrator goes down... Ugh.

Distributed VPN networks FTW. Getting there someday...
