Korn - But only because I lived with my cousin who listen to NOTHING BUT KORN. Had enough for the rest of my life.
What else...
Rap
Country
Basically what everyone else said.
Except for Nirvana, NIN, OLDER Green Day, etc. I like all of that.

I'm sure there is some jacked up raw talen to it... but think about it... controlled screaming?? that doesn't make a damned bit of sense. And neither does the music. I get the image of people being pissed off at life and generally discontent - why the hell would you want to spend time inudating yourself with that?I agree that 3 chords is hardly talent, but some (not all) metal incorporates some very advanced technique. I am a musician myself, and I am blown away by some of the things I hear sometimes.
And the screaming is a lot harder than you may think. I dont listen to metal because of the lyrics.....I could care less if they even say anything. But there is a right way and a wrong way to scream....and it takes practice (even though it may not sound like it sometimes). If you dont believe me, just sing along to a familiar song, but "scream" all the lyrics.
last note....I like lots of different types of music. I just wish that more "musicians" would actually put effort and emotion into their songs.
Agreed!
Even if you dont get into there music, one can at least respect the amount of talent in there music (especially the drummer).Leave a comment:

Well...(no offense)..you're probably doing it wrong. When it is done correctly, your normal tone of voice will not be affected.
I've been trying for a few months now and still have problems with certain pitches.Leave a comment:

Hahaha it sure does! I get hoarse after like 2 minutes of singing along to shit in the car, so props to guys who tour and have to yell for months on end!Leave a comment:
