    LOL! people amaze me...

So I am selling an S52 on ebay, and I think the ad is pretty cut and dry.

Leaves not much to the imagination... it is pretty spelled out.

I still manage to get messages like this:

    lol lol lol!

I know what to do with THIS guy!

It would help if he could read.

You had a good response though..

Q: Hey - first U advertise & display a complete engine - then only the block is included - like tits on steer w/o the accessaries - then the ONE ANNONMOUS BIDDER HAS A BIDDING HISTORY OF ONE with U - what a coincidence - gee I wonder if other ebayers see thru U'r bullshit - potential buyer lost Jul-19-07

A: It is CLEARLY written, TWICE, that the auction is for a long block only. The current high bidder actually has a feedback score of 20. There is nothing fishy about this auction at all, and I am not sure why you think there is. Regardless, I don't appreciate the hostility in which you phrased your message... I feel as if I deserve an apology. You are not a potential buyer, I demand more respect than that.

Well, he's right about the pic not matching the description- but not much else.... :)

Seriously, why not show a pic of what you're actually selling (longblock with no accessories) to avoid any confusion? OR, just sell the complete engine with accessories....

Good luck "demanding" respect from folks on the intardnet.

                  It is convoluted...

General with the interznet you have to have pictures of exactly what you are selling, or a 50-90% naked girl. People do not read, they glance. That is why road signs are all ignored other than the shape/color...

Well, I have to leave the motor complete, in order to have the ability to offer it to the highest bidder as a whole, if that is what they want. If I were to strip it to a long block, THEN the highest bidder wanted a "drop-in", that would be a bad situation.

I always sell my motors like this. 95% of the customers that I deal with (because of the type of parts I sell), know the difference between a long block and a complete motor, and are actually fairly automotively "in-the-know".

Additionally, many of my customers don't want to pay the extra amount for a complete motor, since they are doing conversions, or build ups, or??? There would be no way that I would be able to start a complete S52 at $2300 and no reserve. Actually impossible!

Ebay has also recently switched to this "anonymous" bidder setup on ebaymotors that shows all bidders as "bidder1, bidder2, bidder3, etc" to a public auction. Homeboy probably doesn't know what he's looking at.

I take it a long block includes the head with the short block.

And the suitable timing mechanism: timing gears, belt or chain.

A complete engine is different. From the pictures I see a near-complete engine at the least.

Maybe I'm confused. But I will concur the complainer needed more brain-smarts.
