I don't keep up with this crap but I would say that you really have to give it up for the people who are getting rich off of this. Every time she makes a transition from one end of the criminal justice system to the other, it makes breaking news and someone makes a fortune on the story. Its capitalism at its best. She just needs to screw up really bad one more time and someone will be able to send their kid to college.

I didn't bother to look since it's just Lohan, but this is fresh - right? She was on the broadcast news a week back, something about still going out & "partying" but she had on a anklet that was GPS (normal), but it also had a BAC monitor somehow - I might be wrong, since I can't see how that would work, but I wasn't exactly giving my full, undivided attention to a Lohan story.

Point being, she was trying to act like she was out for the nightlife, but not boozing. Yeah, riiiiiight.

They do have devices that attach to your ankle that take a small amount of blood a few times a day to detect BAC for repeat DUI offenders, etc. You have to plug it into a phone line once a day to download the data to a service that you have to pay for. I think Tracy Morgan has one of these now. It's all the rage. Soon all of the DUI-offending celebs will have one and you won't be anyone in Hollywood without one.
