monitor/computer problems

problem:

im running a 27" lcd as a TV, and my monitor. all is well with my desktop until this morning, when i turn the monitor on, and my desktop isnt streched to the left and the right of the screen, its just a square in the middle of it. everything was there (icons, etc) But when I tried to change the resolution on it, it streches to the right side, and the left is still black. The top of the screen (where my minimize, maximize and X out are), are now at the bottom of my screen. How do i get back to where I was?

fixed, it was the fill button on my remote control....

but now, when i pull up any browser, its out of place, and i cant see the x, min and maximize...

have you checked your display settings? someone had to mess with them, settings don't just change on their own. At work we rotate the image, change icons and all kinds of shit when people forgot to lock their pc's.
