I say spare the ban stick for the following reasons-

1. He does not start trouble (like Blunt Biscus the dog does)

2. This topic only came up because of recent posts in the "insult" thread that shouldn't count against anyone regardless of whether or not they take it seriously.

3. Some people on here may not be very enlightened by what he has to say most of the time but his posts do not ruin or detract from the quality of the discussions on the message board.

4. He participates in the discussions vs. so many others that just prefer to sit and watch. Also I would go so far as to suggest that some of the things that he has said has prompted quality discussions and quality responses. If you build on something bad and make it good, you cannot discount the fact that the bad thing made a significant contribution to what becomes good.

5. Even though he may not appear to be smart, funny, or use the best grammar and spelling, we ought to have more tolerance for those who are not as eloquent as us. One thing that I say quite often is that before you knew what you were doing, there was a time when you didn't. So let us not be so hard on people who are trying to find their place amongst their peers.

I'm kinda new here but I've been around long enough to see that the guy's a total F n' tool. Is there a way to give him an official warning or something? I vote to let him stay until he starts specifically breaking rules. If a 5 year old gave one of you the finger, would you get all butt-hurt and want to hit him? I think we all know someone that would. But as long as that someone isn't you, I'm not sure what the problem is.
