Why can't people who are asked to do stunts like this for people to watch on the street realize they are putting the crowds in great danger ???? This is no different than the dragster the ran out of control in Tn. Freaking unbelievable

When you take shop class out of the public school system, stuff like this happens. You get a perpetual dumming down of society to the point where it is no longer common knowledge that machinery is dangerous.

Other than that, I cannot begin to figure out what else could have happened in the last 30 years. When I was a kid, in the late 70's (prior to monster trucks being so popular) we got to see race car and dragster demonstrations. But we were only allowed to see the car up close when it was parked. When they did the actual demo, we were probably the better part of 250+ feet away from the action.

Even when the fire department would come to our school and bring the burning house demonstration on the trailer, they would make us stand in the parking lot back far enough so that we would not inhilate the smoke.
