I don't care what the media says about guns, gun control, etc. Ted hits the nail square on the head. Most of us are too young to have kids yet, but I tell you what, when I do I will carry in public whenever me & my kids go out - I have no problem with the idea of deadly force if my kids were in question.

Anyhow, I just liked the fact that for whatever reason, CNN decided calling on ol' Uncle Ted was the way to get a soundbite on gun ownership in USA.

Brother, we need to discuss armament issues involving the public at large, I know from first hand negativity that we all think bad of a well armed citizenship, but when the pollsters do their thing, and when you hear the stories of the citizens who stopped major incidents thanks to their legal right to carry a weapon to disable a foe who planned to hurt (and kill) even more innocent people, you really do change your mind.

911 and law enforcement is for the sheeple, learning to responsibly carry and avoid & plan ahead to avert any situation is a complete shift of mindset. You are responsible to make safe as you can your own family, but if the wrong person at the wrong time should choose to make a victim of your tribe, you should be able to act in such a manner that that person either releases their threat, or loses their physical ability to enforce their threat - either by their own will, or the damage caused by the bullets from your gun.

Hopefully they see the folly of deciding to consider you their "victim", as you present the options they have, if not you are forced to give them an escalated set of options. Normally this involves pulling the trigger, but you need to be ready to save your tribe.

I'm as law abiding a citizen as there is, but in the summer I carry a 9mm at all times, and when bulky jackets are the norm come Fall & Winter, I carry a much better rig.

Haha i've met Ted, he used to hunt with my grandpa. I can agree with a lot of his arguments but if it was really up to him, the US would be just like the old west. There really needs to be some sort of middle ground.

id rather not think of the reprocussions of having every citizen in the country carrying a firearm. i mean there is a plethora of undiagnosed mental disorders roaming this land and id rather not have them deciding when is and isnt an appopriate time to use their new found power. Imagine the minor disputes the road rage any argument can potentially turn into a life or death situation.
i feel the same way we feel about driving in this country we should feel about guns/firearms. people should be tested on an annual basis and background checks should be a must (for mental stability reasons)
