Here's the back of the patch panel in the first wiring closet we just finished pulling wire from:
This is the first finished of FIVE closets that will look just like this. All Cat6, fed by a fiber optic line coming in from above, along with 3 server rooms still to be built and wired.
I came from a Telecom background, I did Telelcom at a university (I worked for the college while I was taking classes) and I've pulled a lot of wire and terminated patch panels. CAT6 is a bitch to run, compared to 5E, it's harder to get it exactly how you want to lay. Just the thicker wire and coating makes it harder.
Now I'm on the other side of the patch panel... Network and Server admin.

Cisco/HP FTMFW.
Tom
Thanks for the compliment, but I didn't do all the terminations/landing. Myself and 2 other guys pulled all of the wire, though. I get to start working on the next room. Network and server admin is my destination, though. I'm starting classes in the fall for networking, and as long as I pass them, my employer foots the bill for tuition. I was in home theater and house automation before, but got canned from that job over a lot of stupid drama. So this company picked me up temporarily while I was out of work for extra help, and within a week, offered me a full time position. I'm in the process of getting my low voltage license, and after a few years in this trade and a degree in networking, I'll be perfectly poised to go into the networking/server admin field. I'm pretty excited about it.
Wicked is my bro- on our way to the track we were talking about how we should have brought our e30s to Florida since we havnt seen ANY nice ones. All of the sudden we see your about 3 cars in front of us waiting to pay for admission.

Your car looks nice- you should have ran it.
Thanks mang, I wanted to run, but some things need to get fixed, timing chain, the camber isnt equal and my tires are bald. Do you go to UNF or something?
Doesn't look bad for a camera phone, I'm sure if you were standing somewhere else you could have gotten a better picture. Btw, is your real last name Anderson or are you one of those Matrix fanatics?
