    Meteor shower this weekend.

If you like astronomy, catch a nap now & make some coffee in the middle of the night. I was up watching it before sunrise this morning, it was OK, but I heard it hasn't peaked yet.

Free entertainment, perfect if you have a low maint. type woman.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I think it is going to be a clear night tonight and tomorrow night also, for the area that i'm in.

My dad used to take us out to the boonies for these, I've done it once with my wife, too bad I work all weekend. Thanks for the heads up though, my daughter would have liked it too(5yo).

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the leading center for robotic exploration of the solar system.

                  Perseids
                  Comet of Origin: 109P/Swift-Tuttle
                  Radiant: constellation Perseus
Active: Perseids begin to rise early August.
                  Peak Activity: Aug. 12-13, 2010
Peak Activity Meteor Count: Approximately 50 meteors per hour
Time of Optimal Viewing: Crescent moon will set early in the evening, allowing for dark skies all the way up until peak viewing just before dawn
Meteor Velocity: 61 kilometers (38 miles) per second
Note: The Perseid meteor shower is one of the most consistent performers and considered by many as 2010's best shower. The meteors they produce are among the brightest of all meteor showers.

You can head out to Stocker Fields in Snohomish too, I was there last night and you could see them whenever they shot across.

Great show - I only had about 30 mins to watch it - but totally worth it.

I saw it when I was up in the adirondacks floating on a lake. Unbelievable up there. The only better place I can think of seeing it is on the middle of the atlantic.
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|
