The Bianchi looks pretty nice! Campy Veloce is a great parts group, and overall the bike looks to be in great condition. I'm not sure what it's worth, though.
Psh. I ride both on and off road. Not too much off road lately, but still, I don't discriminate against either discipline.

I recently bought a Specialized Allez Elite, and love it.
Building your own bike is a losing proposition, even used, you or I would be hard pressed to buy any components as cheaply as a manufacturer.

Hey, I've been thinking about getting into road biking as well, I hope I'm not thread jacking, but I'd like to throw a couple questions out there.
How much should you expect to pay for a good starter bike?
In terms of *ahem biking attire... Is the spandex really necessary? Are there alternatives that aren't so... spandexy?Comment

I wear the baggy mountain bike shorts and a jersey when I go biking, they still have the padding and moisture wicking without the tightness.

padded shorts are great for long rides. try going on a 50k ride without. it blows.
you can just wear regular shorts over them though.
also, bikes arent really obstructing roads maluco. just like cars are allowed to drive slow legally, and be on the road legally, so are bikes.
myself, I only ride in traffic if I'm going 30 or over. or the shoulder sucks. in which case I try to haul ass.
and traffic circles/roundabouts. I haul ass and do those in traffic, cause otherwise people would just hit you. because they're retarded.

I just got a Giant for my 21st. Was fitted and this thing is amazing, at least it feels that way to me. Its nice to have a bike path about 1/4 mile away from the house though.Comment

Go to a bike shop and test ride a bunch of bikes and let them help you determine frame size and attributes. Then shop CL, Ebay, roadbikereview.com, etc... and find something close to what you were most comfortable on when test riding at the shop. Ride it for a while and if you dig it you can buy an expensive fit bike, or have your existing bike fit to you.Comment

Im selling a bianchi.
Frame is steel and black with gold logos, and I painted the lugs pink. The bar tape matches, I call it the "bianchnasty" Old shimano 600 groupo on it too. Its about a 50-53cm I would guess.Comment

50-53cm is way to small for him, he said he was 6-2. At 5-10 I ride a 54 or 55cm depending on style/angles of the frame.
I current ride an older Pinarello Montello SL. I have had it for years suits me perfectly and has older Suntour Superbe Pro on it.Comment
