Oh, that's fine he was born here, I say we just set up a contract with some foreign country that's poor enough to take our convicts for a flat fee...the effect would be twofold - we could save a ton imprisoning people, and the idea of getting shipped off to some place like Africa would make a guy think twice before knocking over a liquor store or a 7-11.

Imagine if you though the repercussions for your crime could be getting your butt chased by lions, dodging crocs to get a drink of nasty water at a watering hole....basically the daily life would be total survival.
