Anyone else buy the new good life cd?

I know there probably aren't many saddle creek fans out there - but this album is awesome.

what is saddle creek? I'm guessing a country band.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Out of curiosity - why would you guess it is a country band?

OK - well - that theory is wrong. Saddle creek is probably the most successful indie lable there is. I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree here. God knows what you guys listen to.

Just a FYI for anyone who is moderately informed - bright eyes is on saddle creek - as is cursive. The good life is tim kashers (singer from cursive) other band.

            I highly reccomend it.

Pretty much the same reason Metallica sounds like a metal band, or why a guy named "Zancou" would probably be mood or new age.

Saddle Creek sounds like it's out of city limits, like in the country - sooooo, are they a country band?

At least I don't normally think I'd hit Saddle Creek after rounding the corner of Main & 8th street, so that's why I made my guess.

I guess you guys arent too far off - the lable is based out of omaha, NE. However - alot of good indie music comes from there. Kind of like athens, ga.

Scenesters are usually just that - they follow trends - they don't appreciate music. I'm FAR from being scene and have been a saddle creek fan for something like 8 years. I think it's gotten to the point where "scene" people don't even listen to scene music anymore. Thats how scene they are.

FYI: Not a stereotype against you regarding scenesters, just attempting to nail down the general region this group/label would fit into, whilst being too lazy to search them out.

Yeah scenesters usually don't know who the good life is. They are too busy jamming modest mouse or some other very slim group of acceptable bands.
