Dang, You got me. I have 4 srd's & a minty mint driver side VW 16v grey job like yours for my office chair. You got me beat by a mile.

If there's more to that brochure, post it - that's some good reference material for all us who deal with old Rec's (I must have had a good dozen over the years).

Pic 6 looks like a VW, can anyone tell what that car/edition was - or if it's even a VW.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Yup, its VW. From a 1990 Jetta GLI actually. Three different styles of recaros came in the Mk2 GLI/GTI 16V.

The first one is the grey cloth ones I pictured earlier and came in the 90-92 GTI/GLI 16V.

The next ones are found in the Earlier (87-88 GLI 16V only) Recaro Trophy seats, as pictured here:

The really rare seats that are hardly ever available were from the 1989 GLI 16V Wolfsburg Edition (aka. the Helios Jetta) with this crazy blue interior. There were only 1500 produced. Here are the best pictures I could find:

Unfortunately, I don't have anymore info or brochures that I posted before.

No, I meant the bold stripe pattern set. Sadly I'm such a whore I've owned all 3 iterations of the Recaros you mention, plus 1 of the 2 patterns offered in Canadian Corrados - I had the "scratchy butt edition" blue pinstripes, but the only one I never had was the elusive black geometric pattern from the '95 only Canadian Corrado. There were only 75 of that model that shipped over here.

The Helios seats had a commonality with the '89 Wolfsburg cabrio, so in my old MK1 GTI I had a set of the door & rear cards from the cabrio, rear seat from the cabrio, and a really nice set of Helios buckets. I really should have pulled that interior before selling the car, but it went to my best friend - so I left it.

It's really easy to make your 16v'ers fit - in fact one of my old sets sits in a E30 right now.

Whoops, didn't realize you were talking about the brochure, thought you meant the 6th picture I posted lol.

The Bold Stripe Pattern seating is defintely from a volkswagen, most likely an Mk2. If you look closely enough, you can see the door card pattern is an Mk2. Plus, the B & C Pillar structure is slightly more rounded (compared to the Mk1). Please correct me if I'm wrong, but thats what it looks like to me.

Yeah, I sort of figured it was VW, A2 body of some sort. I'm leaning towards a Jetta since the rear deck kicks up vs a Golf.

I just can't think of a special edition Jetta. I remember the VW Motorsports G60 AWD that came in charcoal & was a 4 door, but that was only Golfs & only like 50 were made.

It would be cool to see more shot of that interior if anyone knew what it was.

nice collection, pretty impressive. I wish I had more room to store seats (and welding skills to put them in something).
