Deathproof DVD (Grindhouse) - anyone here have it?

I want to go grab it, but since Planet Terror & it got split for DVD release & I'm sure they'll put them back together for some "special edition" down the line.

Sadly, the most I care is if it had the commercials for the other movies on the disc - like as an extra or something. If they give me the movie & the commercials I'll pay their $22.

I don't give a crap about waiting for a HD version either, like I see some people saying they are just waiting for that- duh, they added in all the grainyness & jitters & I can't see a bigger waste of the extra $$$.

So does the disc have the commercials ?

Or does anyone have a link to a setup where they will be packaging in both movies with all the content from the theatre? I'll wait into the new year for a real edition like that if someone knows its coming out.

Me too, to be honest. J has to know the story.

We picked it up the other day, it doesn't have the commercials on it.

It was still a good purchase, IMO.

The Planet Terror DVD will probably have the commercials on it, since this one didn't.

Fuckin' a right. Bought it the day it came out.

Here's the details. It's a 2-disc special edition, second disc is loads upon loads of bonus features. It does NOT have the fake trailers/commercials, but it does have the cheesy "feature presentation" and "rating" animations. Not to mention, it's unrated, and have SEVERAL more scenes that weren't in the theatrical release, including the full lapdance scene that Butterfly does with Kurt Russell, and it's fucking HOT.

I got it for $16.99 at Wal-Mart, and it comes with a $5.00 off coupon for Planet Terror.

And I love that you guys have deemed me your movie barometer. :D

Dude, how could we not? You seemed to know the most about it & I swear you were the 1st of all of us to get to the theater for it. Plus you were the Grindhouse thread OP IIRC.

I had no doubt you had it already - and your response nailed that coffin.

Cool, sounds like I'm off to Wally - I can only expect they are splitting the extras from the theater, so whatever isn't on Deathproof ought to be on Planet Terror. I saw the movie company that made Grind is having a string of flops & probably will fold up - so down the line you'll see a box set of some sort (sell the rights, whatever), but screw it - I want to see Rose get tossed around like a rag doll again ASAP.

I'm soooooo glad I went to see it in the theater - seems like not many did. Fricking awesome afternoon watching it.
