    im a $329.50 dumbass

so me being the dumbass i am, i went to get my tabs renewed for my e28 back in sept. somehow i brought the registraction for my e30 instead, didnt even look at the recipt you get with the tab, stuck it on my e28 license plate.

couple nights ago im driving home from a party and i get pulled over. now im by no means drunk, i waited a good 4 hours from my last beer. but the fact i had some and im underage and i have alcohol in my system means i can still get a dui and a mic

cop asks me if i own any other vehicals, so i tell him bout my e30 and he says the number on the tab matches that description. so im tellin myself that i got off and everything is cool.

he says to wait in the car, he comes back, hands me a $216 ticket and ripps the year tab off of my e28... great, sooo $56.75 for the e30 tab that is now gone, new tab for my e28 is $56.75 and the ticket on top of that

    $56.75
    $56.75
    +$216.00
    =
    $329.50

Just be glad you didn't get a DUI. That would have cost you thousands and you would have lost your license for a year or more.

    You're a fucking lucky $329.50 dumbass.

Anyone know if running tags/plates from another car is a felony?

I seem to remember watching cops once, and the tags serial number didn't match the car. The cop carefully questioned him to get him to admit it, but the guy played dumb and the cop finally gave up and told him it was a felony if he had knowingly switched tags.

in california if you paid your registration they will give you a new 'tag' for free bro. just go to the DMV and say your tag got stolen.

90% of WA calls soda - "pop" too.

Seems like there's about 5 distinct regions in the continental 48 - The South, NE, Mid-West, TX, & WA.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Exactly. Renn said "tabs" and "registraction"

I don't know if its a felony but you are better off being caught with NO tags than to be caught with the WRONG tags. My sister's BF went to jail for that mess. The officer messed up the paperwork so they ended up having to drop the charges but had he been driving on expired tags (that were registered with the vehicle) or no tags at all, they probably would have impounded the car and let him go with a fine.
