Side work for product reps pays

Scored a pretty badass little item this weekend. I had to go to Portland to do an AV install for one of our product rep's son's new house. Install a bunch of speakers, volume controls, TVs, components, etc. Afterwards, we were back at his house, looking at all the cool gear he had stashed in his garage, when I mentioned I needed a subwoofer for my living room system. Well, this is what he pulls out:



Miller & Kriesel MX-70. This motherfucker is a little badass. Dual 8" drivers, positioned in a push-pull configuration, 125 watts RMS, powered via an internal on-board power amplifier. Currently, this sub retails at just over $1k. This model is an older one by about 7-8 years, but still went for the same amount. How much did I get it for? Coming back another day next week to run speaker wire, coax, and set up his personal system.

Sweet fucking swap, dewd. You will love that sub. Clean solid thunder, pretty snappy, and of course, the best bass is almost always found in ported boxes...

Now you really need to swap me that HK for this Onkyo and a tiny bit of cash.

Nice tip. You'll love the sub, don't let the size fool you(did that sound ghey?). I have the vx100? and satellite speakers, M&K makes some pretty impressive shit.
