    Shell casing worth anything??

Back in my younger days I used to do a lot of shooting up in the woods. With this came brass collecting. Any casings we found were always gathered up and bagged.
9mm, .223, 7mm, etc, several thousand total. I have a whole box of this stuff that I want to get rid of. Does anyone want it or should I just pitch it?

Also have a 12 Ga MEC reloader and a bunch of stuff for reloading. Worth anything or just junk?

No way I would throw it out. Good brass is worth its weight in gold to reloaders. Just find a local rifle and pistol club and I'm sure you'll find a buyer. If that doesn't work, sell it to a scrap yard. At least you ca recover a few bucks that way.

BTW, there are also some large commercial reloading outfits. Maybe they would be interested?

      ^^^^What he said.

I was at the scrap yard one day and there was a guy unloading bucket fulls of casings.

Ebay (if it's allowed by their rules) or Craigslist should help you find a buyer.

But definitely, don't throw it out- it's worth something to someone, even if it's the local scrap guy.

prolly not ebay, they've become such waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless recently about anything related to firearms. but any local shooting club would definitely be interested. Or, you could reload it all, shoot the hell out of it and start collecting it again. ;)

I used to sell me 9mm casings back to the store I bought them from.

to re loaders the 223 brass is worth about $50 per 1000 with commercial brass. You can tell by looking down the neck of the shell and see if there is 1 hole in the primer. If there are multiple holes it would be a bit less.

The 9mm not that many people load for that due to the cost of the round. Still cheap to buy and cost just the same to reload.

The 7mm I have not a clue, but there are a cult following to this round so Im sure someone reloads it. Price I would say around the same as the 223

That based on it being brass and not that blazer crap.

PM me if you want to get rid of the reloading gear - I'm looking to get into doing it, but I don't want to drop big $$$ until I know I will do it for life. If you have some decnt starter gear I'll buy it.
