I'm about to start Child Custody and Child Support work and my wonderful ex-girlfriend lied her ass off on how much she makes a month. She claimed 500 hundred a month at @ $7.15 an hour. I know she's making commission and I imagine she's making more than minimum wage. My math show's $500/$7.15 an hour equals about 70 hours a month and I know she's doing that probably in two weeks. Anyone with information can pm me if they want to keep it private, but I would appreciate any help.....P.S. Its not that I don't want to support my daughter and pay child support, I just don't want to be so broke that I miss payments and then owe the state money in the future.

Have your attorney tear into what she makes legally. I am sure uncle sam might have something different to say about it to. But with that being said you owe your child the respect to do what it takes to help raise her, even if that means laying off the hobbies or getting a second job if needed. No matter how much you hate the EX !!

I should of added I'm 22, I'm a full time student I have two part time jobs. One is an internship with Southwest Empire (Caterpillar dealer in Arizona) and I work for University of Arizona at the Campus Agriculture Center. I fully believe in paying Child Support but I know that the money her mother will receive will not always go to supporting our child.

Get an attorney and have them audit her income statements. Her personal return (1040) should discredit that low number.

Wow this thread is active again....FIRST: I do not have a problem paying child support, it just drives me F'N nuts that she qualifies for so many programs and refuses to use them and wants me to front the bill. SECOND: I love my daughter, she is amazing and its crazy to see how in 8 months of her life how much change happens. My daughter is the reason why I'm still alive and well and that I now take greater care of my body. She is the reason for my maturity and its been good for me.
Now I'm a broke college kid and what not so a lawyer is out of the question but I'm lucky my mom's job deals with lawyers so I get advice from her work and my school offers free legal advice.....Now on the condom part, this is the kind of girl who would of found a way to get knocked up (thats what were dealing with here)....But I keep a daily record of stuff and get to have my day in court soon.
