    Long Beach Marathon 10/14-Bike Tour

So I decided last minute to bike the Long Beach Marathon this Sunday. I've only been into biking for a couple of months, and haven't trained very consistently, nor ridden more than 15 miles, but have a background of having run cross-country and track for the last 8 years. My goal is to break 2 hours (mainly because if runners can do 2 hours and change, I should be able to on a bike).

So for all you riders, any advice? And anyone happen to be riding this Sunday at Long Beach?

should be able to finish in an hour and change. Less than an hour and a half for sure. I guess that depends on your bike though. Kinda late, but my advice is : padded shorts.

haha padded shorts for sure, i bought a pair saturday and they defenitely helped. i finished in 1:29 and some change. Being that it was my first marathon I went out pretty easy, and now know next time that I should be able to do 1:15 or so.
