I think "marriage" has hit rock bottom. No, actually it's still declining. It's not quite useless yet. Only when the older generations die off - then it will be.
Look up the definition of marriage anywhere and it will say it is the union of one man and one woman, husband and wife.

It might also say something expressive like "when things match together or go together." I personally don't extend those definitions to people, more like, "cake and ice-cream make a good "marriage," etc... (yeah, that's kind of a weak example, but i hope the idea gets across)

i have nothing against gays and think if they want to take it in the butthole thats fine. give them equal tax credit and let them pound each others ass.

    That's pretty much my view.

The way I see it, if you look at the word marriage, it can only be defined as the union between a man and a woman. The semantics of the word itself simply cannot be applied to couples of the same sex.

Eh, I'm gettin all formal about this... I hate writing papers.

marriage, civil unions, whateva you wanna call it. The government (state or federal) shouldn't be able to decide who can marry who. Marriage to me isn't anything but a contract w some tax benifits in the beginning and a pain in the ass process if a divorce happens (it usually does).

Ask Jscotty - he should be an expert.

As for me - there's no reason for them not to be married. It's only a tax advantage.
