yeah but everything else is just as worse. it not about the gay marriage thing, but i mean the way we were founded is just getting thrown away. people dont care about the USA anymore (not all). Its ok to do jewish or muslim stuff but if you mention christianity, oh my god you get arrested or cant do it anymore. its pure BS

One of my friends was a child molester. He went to jail for a long time, his wife left him, he doesn't see his kids anymore. After prison and rehab, he made it three years 'till caught reoffending. He killed himself when the cops came.

First, he absolutely didn't choose to be a gay child-molester. He knew it was wrong and why. It disgusted him to have those urges, but he had them. When he realized he couldn't change he took himself out.
I bring this up not as a thread jack, but to lead into another question that addresses a main arguement for homosexuality; that they're not hurting anyone so it can't be wrong. Shouldn't we as a society, have found a way to allow my friend to satisfy himself without hurting anyone? Surely there's plenty of gay child porn out there that we don't have to produce any more, so it wouldn't involve hurting anyone. If that satisfied him, and if there was a way to do this, would it still be "wrong" for him to be a child molester? It's who he was born to be.

I think that's a reasonable compromise - but isn't that up to the religion and not the govt?

Wow, I feel like I've exhausted this topic both between this thread and my class.

Thanks for voting and thanks for the discussion.

So, you are utterly wrong to say that homosexuality is a choice. You might even be inclined to say that it's a pretty "natural" thing to be gay.

But, what I don't like is how it leaves homosexuality as a "roll of the dice" biological thing. A kid raised by gays could all the time be thinking, "There's really no reason to think I couldn't be. It's all up to my biology."

Do you see where this gets complicated? I don't mean to imply that there would be more gay people running around; that is rediculous. I think the average percentage of gay Americans is and will forever hover around 8-10%. That's just how it works out.
I think the only possible difference is how many of them are open about it.

I guess we are done here.

Obviously being gay is not normal. So if/when they have some urge the NATURAL thing to do is resist the urge or want. Well they don't. Find they like it and then they chose to keep pursuing it.
Sorry dude - I guess I'm not on the same page as you here.
