Oh god black with some red anodizing thrown in is sooo hot:

We're family friends with a guy who sells mainly Raleighs, I wonder what wholesale would be..but that's just what I need, another bike I've got a grand into to get stolen during class. I'll just stick with ebay for now.

I haven't done one yet, but I'm thinking about going tomorrow night. If not tomorrow, we should plan on meeting up for next months, they are the last Friday of every month :).

I've been wanting to build a budget bike for a while, ended up getting a free bike tonight. Apparently a customer rode it to the shop to pick up his Porsche, couldn't fit it in the 911 (obviously) and decided he didn't want the bike anymore anyways so he gave it to me. I plan on just fixing it up for shits and giggles, I don't ride anywhere so spending a lot of money on it would be stupid. Planning on ditching the gearing for now and just turning it into a ghetto (read: home made) single speed with freewheel and both brakes. Sand it down, repaint it red and polish the chrome like a mirror. Later I'll turn it into an actual fixie. Sourced some better handlebars that I'll put on tomorrow.

That would take a lot of training....

Yesterday coming home from work, a women in a Mercedes M class rolled down her window and asked how come I have no gears. I said, I have one... she goes ohhh...

I'm dead today though. I think I am not taking in enough calories/protein/etc.... I think I need to raise my seat a tad because I am getting a bit of knee pain; perhaps the reason is that I don't pace my self...

Critical mass houston tonight. Should be fun. Last time was over 200 people.

I played bike polo for the first time last night on the Fuji Track, probably one of the most fun experiences I've had on a bike... I'm definitely going to be playing more now.

I just picked up an old Gitane road bike, converted to single speed, nice ride, only problem is the pedal threading is different than modern, so I'll either need new cranks, or old school pedals, rather get new cranks, but we'll see

New bars. Well, old, stuff on the sideyard junk bars, but I'm not throwing more money at it. New brake finally will be in at the LBS on Tuesday, new black bmx grips, and clean and paint this bar black...

EDIT: Do you guys think my fork is bent? Now the drops are off, I found that the wheel hits the frame if I try to fully rotate it...

I just mounted it this morning, had an ephany and thought what the hell. I plan on cutting them shorter, and, getting black bmx grips to replace those blue ones. I know they are kinda wide ATM.

people in groups are so stupid.

a couple weeks ago on the sunday night ride we were stopped in a shitty neighborhood not far from an industrial area waiting for like 3 people with flats. A cop stopped, and just asked us nicely to stay toward the sidewalk as cars come ripping by there. All these stupid kids start yelling "fuck oppression" and "theres only 2 of them and a hundred of us!"

                            fucking idiots

Instances like this make me feel no sympathy for car on bike violence.
