Yeah, because fixed gear riding is too fucking safe as it is... hahaha. Answer your phone in like 5 minutes...

I feel like fixed is safe if not safer than freewheel biking if your decent at riding. Its way harder to not pay attention and it forces you to focus on everything.

For someone who isnt a strong rider to begin with, yea its dangerous...

Excuse me, Mr. blunt, but riding a bicycle is one of those simple joys of life. You roll silently, with the wind in your hair, with only your muscles powering you forward. It's very pure.

I am sure you are like the town bike, as nearly everyone in the HC has felt your mouth on their shaft at the glory hole in the Wayzata Lunds men's room.

going on a cruise with a bunch of friends on bikes > cruising with friends in cars

riding, talking, skidding, interacting > listening to the radio, turning up your v1 & checking the gps

have any of you heard anything about these ebay fixed bikes?

Im looking at buying a bike, and i was considering one of those ^ until i found out about IRO's mark V, would there be much of a difference between the two beside the fact that the ebay was is an unbranded bike? I would pay the extra money for the IRO if I knew that it would be worth it. Do any of you have any thoughts about either of these bikes? Thanks

My brother bought one, Turf1600 here also bought one. The pedals need to be upgraded, but a good first fixed gear bike.

Well, my bike is now reduced to this:

My bike was in the back of my friend's truck when we went out wheeling a few weeks ago, so needless to say, my paint in a few spots is fuxored. I'm going to have it powdercoated, probably white. I'm also upgrading pretty much every part on the bike except the crankset, pedals, seat and stem.

Pretty sick, but I don't like those super downward sloped stems.
