Thanks for the comments. I just swapped the super uncomfortable SLR saddle for this Fizik Aliante which should be a little more comfy on rides over 25 miles. I also swapped out the deep drop Cinelli 66-44 bars for some narrower, shallower 64-42's. Next step is compact cranks and a 12-27 cassette for the hills around here.

I'd love them re-wrapped, but I could do it myself.

Oh, and... I love you Andy.

In regards to his wheel choice, Thats a fine upgrade for that style bike. Of course, Ambrosia on low flange Record hubs would be more stock looking, but if you've never ridden Ventos/Shamals, it wont make sense. :)
Because it's for a cheap set of road wheels that I are just sitting around. I have a Team Specialized that I want to start using soon.

My Iro is nice but want to see how I like an AL frame single speed vs steelie.

Just got my cross bike together.... after waiting 2 Months for Sram to get my shifters in stock.... 2008 Kona Jake the Snake (Team Rad Racing), Chris King Headset, Wound Up Cylclocross full carbon fork, 2010 Sram Red Shifters, Force Derailers, FSA SLK Brakes, and SLK R Compact carbon cranks, Thomson Elite Seat post, Selle Italia Sadle, Forte Apollo wheel set with Sram cassette and Schwable Rocket Ron tires. Gore Cables and housing as well. This bike is fast and fun. If you haven't tried cyclocross I really recommend it.

My favorite part about this bike though is the blue patch I painted on, and the 50 silver stars I added..... After my buddy saw it he gave me a pair of Red white and blue safety glasses that say USA on the sides..... just need a fuck yea sticker.

ok r3v bicycle community, here is my question: i'm building up my roscoe & i have to choose between a rockshox revelation rlt & a fox 36 rc2. essentially the same price, same travel; 150mm (i know the 36 is 160 but i'd knock it down). is it worth the extra pound for the fox for some extra stiffness & badass factor? i want the bike to be trail capable, but also lift access ready. i think i might blow up the revelation on lift access stuff, but i can always service it myself. the fox would be on '08, but again, i'm more than comfortable with suspension rebuilds. thoughts?

thanks. I have taken it on very long rides, and can say I've grown used to it from the discomfort felt on the rowing machine. However, I think a nice Fi'zik would be in check eventually.
