So apparently my bike is an OG Roadmaster from before they got new ownership and became just another Walmart brand... Started stripping the paint; one wheel is in the shop getting straightened and will come home with new 26x1.05 street tires.

Should be done just in time for father's day when I plan on presenting it to my dad. It as given to him a long time ago by a friend who moved out of state.

        Progress so far:

its a great bike, ive had it for around 3 years. Mine is A LOT smaller than yours, haha. Its very smooth, point and shoot. I think its a very precise bike. I haven't ridden the capo, but one of my best friends has a 92 AND 94 C-Dale track, (plus a Broakland pipebomb... drool).. I'd obviously take the track over my bike...

sorry for the late response havent checked this thread in awhile

any recommendations on what brands to buy for a road bike? it would probably have to be alot older than these new bikes. since my budget isn't 2k. More like 300 for a non-fixed gear bike

I picked up a 89 Cannondale, fully lugged frame and full old 105 for 200 bucks. Look around on Craigslist.

Go to a bike shop and pretend you're looking at bikes and have them size you up. A decent shop employee can probably take a glance at you and guess the approx size.

Recently picked up a Cannondale road bike. Been riding it pretty regularly, and it is awesome! Except for this evening when it decided to monsoon for a good hour... Little soaked but discovered that overpasses are your friend (and you can find new friends under them!).
