I really hope that there aren't any doping allegations that pop up against this guy. For those of you that don't follow DH, he's the guy that's been dominating the World Cup DH scene the last few seasons. Last year he won 5 out of 7 of the races. This year I think he did the same. He won the overall before even making it to the last race. There hadn't been an American even on the podium for 10 years and now this guy came out of nowhere and he's representing. Go Gwin!

Quick answer please: 2012 Trek Marlin vs 2012 Diamondback Overdrive. Basically same price. Near same equip. What is better? I've always leaned diamondback because they have never done me wrong.

Personally, I'd go with Trek because they're a bigger company with a solid quality control system & warranty policy, in my experience.

My readings of reviews said otherwise, said tires were shit, and pedals are cheap. Reviews of diamondback said the forks are just overly bouncy.

Ive had a few diamondbacks and on my opinion bigger does not equal better in companies. Im actually not impressed with trek lately, my parents beach cruisers decals are peeling already, they were not even real pinstripes on a $400 bike? Wtf? And the fenders are sagging. I was just wondering frame wise which you would have.

Went with the Diamondback, and Im happy i did, the Trek had shitty plastic pedals, handles, and etc.

Im sure im just retarded, but can i use bilstien shocks and modify them to work on a bike for the forks? not as a realistic thing but for fun. Because i dont think they would bounce back fast enough for mountain biking.

Did they fix those tires, when I had them in 2006 they were shit. They would just rip apart and I only had them for less then a week.
