Yikes can't wait to see that rear wheel in a month. It's not made for brakes TJ, you should have gotten the ones with machined faces.

rear brakes are essentially pointless FWIW teej. I know this isn't your final build... just letting you know. Bike looks nice... probably too big though.

        That's good for 6'3" to 6'6". It's even a bit small for me, but I have a 61cm.

              Mah new wheels.

No they aren't bright pink or anything, but they have ceramic bearings and weigh just under 1500g. :)

The MKS pedals make a HUGE difference in the feel of the bike. Today I bought black riser bars, a white chain and red grips. Saying goodbye to the drop bars. Anyone have a brake lever they don't need?

Are you FUCKING serious? Those Rolf wheels are like $800 each new by themselves.

It seems that more and more people are picking up some cool ass bicycles!

I need to take some better photos of mine and my fiances...

I finally hit 25mph... but can't sustain that speed for long.... I'm usually at a consistent 17-18mph; this of course changes with wind.

I ran into a friend of mine last night that's usually really cool, but he was drunk, and proceeded to give me a bunch of shit about having a "trendy-ass single speed", and I was pretty butthurt about it. And then tried to convince me for 10 minutes that I was drunk, too (even though he knows I'm straightedge).

I could give a shit if they're trendy. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't part of the reason I got one, because most of my friends have them too. But I was buying a bike anyway, these things are super cheap and easy to ride, and I have a blast riding it. So who gives a shit if they're the new thing? Making fun of people for getting into trends to me is the same as getting into something trendy. You're no different, you're just part of another trend.

So I just picked up an old fully functional Bianchi San Remo. I have started to strip and work on it. Basically just took everything off except the front brake and I cut the handle bars and angled them down.
