Deciding between a 26er mtb and a 29er....
I started a thread about what brand of bike to get (before I realized that there is a STICKY all about bikes @ the top of the page)....I think I've decided to go w/ a specialized Rockhopper disc (price fits my budget and it is very nice to ride) but what I want input on now is whether or not it is worth it to step up to a 29er (and spend more cash). I ride a little bit of everything, some xc, singletrack, a few rockgardens and on the road. I have not ridden the 29er but I plan on riding one before I put any cash out. I'm 6'0 220lbs and ride very hard and tend to break stuff when I ride (rims, cranks etc) So what are your thoughts?09 BMW 328xi touring 6spd

^ I rode the Rockhopper 26 and 29er back to back and the 29er just feels more awkward and sluggish. It felt like driving my 4runner vs my e30, so I put money down on the 26 Rockhopper. Eventually I'll be upgrading the front fork but for now it is a HUGE improvement over my old (10y.o.) Trek w/ a blown front shock. When I get it I'll post a pic (it's almost the same color as the e46 M3 yellow)09 BMW 328xi touring 6spd
