me and the step dad brewed our own. pretty good actually.
gonna go to a local craft brewery store today and pick up local stuff. will post pics tonight
Ya know, I was thinking about starting a home brew thread. My dad and me have a perpetual harvest. We do all grain and usually have 3 different beer on tap.

nice!
yeah we ordered a kit. did the test run to get the feel. next month we're gonna order some more hops and things, but will be changing the recipe with local ingredients.
should be cool. i think the best part is handing a buddy a beer and saying, "i made this"
I bought a homebrew kit and a couple of extract kits a couple of weeks ago. I've been too busy to start, so now I get to go repurchase the grains, then hopefully brew both batches this weekend.
Bought two clones of well known brews:
Rogue Dead Guy
Left Hand Milk Stout

I was given one of those cheap kits for Christmas a couple years back and had always been to lazy to start it. Now I cant find half the pieces!
BUT, do not, repeat, DO NOT buy arrogant bastard ale "oaked". tastes like burnt wood mixed with shit. the regular arrogant bastard is actually very nice, but this oaked shit, no no no. stay away.

Those are two amazing beers! I always stock Left hand milk stout.
Just an update to my earlier post, Flying Dog Simcoe Imperial IPA is also amazing. Definitely cannot tell it's 10% ABV...it's well hidden with great hop character and great taste.
mmmmmmm... good stouts and cream ales are SOOOOOOOO good on Nitro....
I am now salivating like Pavlov's dog watching a jingle bells themed porno...

The raven is pretty good! If you wanna get it on tap, there is a real nice bar by my house!
Also, if you ever want to go to Brewer's Art downtown let me know. My one friend who drives a Jeep but loves BMWs that is like his favorite spot. We could probably talk him into driving.
