2) I dont agree that "wet horse blanket" is a "sought after" taste for beer connoisseurs. I will agree that somewhat "musty" is a taste some might seek, but beer that taste like ass, nobody wants.

4. Like I said, you lost your cred with that one. I get the feeling you know what you are talking about, thus, think your throwing that one out there just to argue. I truly would chose water over Bud Light if those were my only choices...Im not going to waste my money on a boring, watered down, flavorless glass of over carbonated crap. I think I have finally figured you out...you are either a poser, or just like to argue.

Have not had Flying Fish, but I do enjoy a hoppy ale on the right day.

2) The Sierra Nevada and Russian River collaboration American Wild Ale named "Brux" is a perfect example of the sought after taste of Wet Horse Blanket, barnyard like characteristic. They specifically used the Brett yeast strain which is known for developing that taste and aroma in their beer to ferment this one. Since it was the only Russian River beer that is distributed in NJ, i had to pick it up, and i can tell you, the wet horse blanket works. It seems odd, but just go for it. There is one from Ommegang as well which if i remember correctly, they specifically went for that flavor profile, as well as many other commercial examples. Don't be so close minded, many people have many different preferred tastes, like a stanky cheese like limburger or rochefort for example

3) nothing special. 5 gal batches. In bottles now is a strong german style hefewiezen. fermenting now is a chocolate stout. Im actually thinking of throwing whole peanuts in for a dry hop (well... dry peanutting).... i love peanuts and peanut butter beers.

4) I mentioned "mutually exclusive", meaning, your choice must be one of the two. Either you chose a beer you do not like the flavor of, or you chose a beer which has so little flavor. In my opinion, the BL is the lesser of two evils. Thus, my rationale.

I don't believe a beer can be "overcarbonated," unless infected. Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace and Black Ops are both some of the most carbonated beers ive had the pleasure of tasting, and also some of the tastiest ;both are fermented with champagne yeast. Even homebrew gushers from early batches are sometimes overcarbonated, but once settle, can be delicious beers.

I don't "like to argue." i do, however, enjoy talking beer.

I have made a career out of it. Since I sell, promote, and discover new beer as a job, I'm pretty sure there is not motivation to "pose" either.

Green flash is easily one of my top 5 favorite breweries. Everyone should go there, large pours for 1 -2 $. Pitched a couple bottles of Pliny the elder, this stuff is good!

I picked this up for the evening. It's different. Drinks more like a porter than a stout.

Its pretty good, not something id buy again though being it almost 4 bucks for 12oz. Vanilla, a bit of coffee, and noticeable Irish whiskey/oak on the nose. It goes down pretty smooth with a light to medium body for a stout, then the carbonation lifts the flavor off the tongue pretty quickly. If I had to rate it id give it a 3/5.

They are all 4 packs. Thier event tomorrow for this is sold out. But I am hoping to still get some.

Remember you wanting some Sculpin earlier. Love that beer too, have had about 15 different variations of Sculpin. Let me know if you ever want something shipped. Seems like a new brewery is opening up every month here and according to Taphunter the local bottle shop has 626 types available right now. If only the USPS would be cooler about shipping beer, I would toss some into a flat rate box for you. We used to stuff Optima Redtops into those things.

Like many beers that the Internet fawns over, the Hopslam is great but not mind-blowing.
